Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust Receives £38,000 Grant from the National Lottery Community Fund
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust on its funding success from the National Lottery Community Fund, having recently been awarded £38,000; notes that Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust is an independent charity that provides volunteer drivers to take cancer patients to hospital appointments, clinics and day-care facilities; understands that the funding will be used to continue what it sees as this vital transport service; further understands that, in 2023, the organisation provided 490,000 miles of free transport to NHS Lanarkshire patients; thanks the charity for its valuable support to the communities of Lanarkshire, and wishes it the best of luck in 2024.
