Morrisons in Wishaw to Host Autism Support Group with National Autistic Society
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news of a support group for autistic people and their families being held in Wishaw; understands that the group, which is set to be held every fourth Thursday, will take place within the café at Morrisons in Wishaw, and is run in conjunction with the National Autistic Society; notes that the group started its operations at its new base in the Morrisons Café in December 2023; understands that the National Autistic Society North Lanarkshire branch is run by a committee of volunteers made up of autistic adults, teachers, and parents of autistic children, all of whom bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the branch; further understands that the branch provides support for autistic people and their families throughout the North Lanarkshire area; congratulates Morrisons and the National Autistic Society on hosting the group, and wishes all involved the very best for the future.
