New MSYPs Elected in Falkirk East
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Declan McGavin and Catriona Daw on their election as the new Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYPs) for Falkirk East; understands that four individuals stood for election in the seat in which elections occur biennially, and that both successful candidates will now represent the area from February 2024 until the next election in November 2025; welcomes the opportunities that young people across Scotland are provided with, by organisations such as the Scottish Youth Parliament, to experience and participate in democracy, as well as to learn and develop new skills; recognises what it sees as the good work done by the MSYPs in representing the views and interests of their peers, and wishes them, and all of their colleagues, all the best in the next term of the Scottish Youth Parliament.
