Charging Partnerships Creating a Cleaner, Greener Scotland

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the new electric vehicle (EV) charging partnership between First Bus and Openreach; understands that, under the partnership, Openreach EVs will be able to charge at First Bus depots while buses are in service, with the initial phase being rolled out in Aberdeen and Glasgow; understands that Police Scotland and DPD already have similar arrangements with First Bus; believes that this partnership will enable Openreach to reduce its environmental impact and to better meet the needs of its customers; commends the efforts being made to share the EV charging infrastructure, and believes that this is a step towards realising a cleaner, greener Scotland.
