African Lanarkshire for Mental Health Awarded £25,125 for Play and Wellbeing Project

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the recent funding award of £25,125 to African Lanarkshire for Mental Health, for its Play and Wellbeing project, from People's Health Trust through Health Lottery Scotland; understands that this one-year project aims to enhance the wellbeing of children by instilling confidence, nurturing self-esteem, and alleviating food insecurity through dynamic sessions encompassing disco dance, soft play, and arts and crafts, and that it will be delivered in Carfin, Cleekhimin and Motherwell; recognises African Lanarkshire for Mental Health for what it sees as its role in addressing and fulfilling the mental health needs of the African community, and in facilitating the integration of individuals affected by mental health back into their families and the broader community; commends the work of all those involved at African Lanarkshire for Mental Health, and wishes them all the very best with this project and wider service delivery.
