"Big Dip" Fundraiser for Ayrshire Cancer Care

The motion

That the Parliament commends what it sees as the exceptional efforts of Nicola George, Head of Fundraising, and her team at Ayrshire Cancer Support Ayr for their outstanding accomplishment in organising the "big dip"; applauds the remarkable enthusiasm of all of the supporters who braved the icy waters of Ayr shores and, it understands, successfully raised £25,000 for the charity; recognises what it sees as the selflessness of the volunteers and team dedicated to community engagement, ensuring that cost-free services reach even the most rural areas of Ayrshire, providing door-to-door patient transfer to the Beatson, as well as counselling and complementary therapies; considers that remarkable initiatives such as this are commendable, bringing not only essential help to the local community during challenging times, but a little joy too, and wishes the team all the very best with future fundraising events.
