Cadder Primary Pupils Shine in School's Inaugural Burns Night
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Cadder Primary School on what it considers was a hugely successful and inspirational inaugural Burns Supper, which was held on 24 January 2024; commends all involved in showcasing the many talents of school pupils through song, dance, poetry and art; highlights the wonderful music arranged by Mrs MacKenzie and performed by the school choir, including renditions of John Anderson My Jo, The Banks O' Doon' and, of course, Auld Lang Syne; appreciates the impressive dance performance on the evening from Cadder Primary School pupils, supported by Mrs Rutherford and Ms Beaton, as well as the wide range of outstanding poetry recited, which included Such a Parcel of Rogues in a Nation, by Willie Wastle, and Two Bonnie Lads, performed so confidently by pupils, and supported by Mr O'Hagan; applauds the efforts of all school pupils for participating in a whole-school art project, which was exhibited on the night and included both traditional and digital art with varied themes such as Glasgow Landmarks and the Big Yin's Big Banana Boots; thanks the entire school community, staff, volunteers and families for making the night such a success, and commends the young people whose talent, energy and enthusiasm made the evening such a success.
