Two Musicians Selected to Represent Scotland at European Youth Brass Band

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Freya McLeman and Emma Brown, members of the Bo’ness and Carriden Band and the Bathgate Band, on being selected to represent Scotland at the 20th European Youth Brass Band in May 2024; understands that delegates selected from 15 countries will meet in Palanga, Lithuania, and perform at a series of events during the European Brass Band Championships 2024, including the European Composer Competition, the Opening Ceremony and the Grand Gala Concert across the course of the weekend; recognises what it sees as the unique opportunities to develop the skills and experience culture that come with learning to read and make music, and wishes Freya, Emma and all the other musicians attending all the best in the competition.
