Hillview Care Home Teams Up with Adopt a Grandparent Scheme
The motion
That the Parliament recognises Hillview Care Home, in Dalmuir, for recently teaming up with the Adopt a Grandparent (AAG) scheme; understands that the charity-run scheme aims to help combat loneliness by pairing volunteers with older people through video call or in person; notes that it is believed to be the first care facility in Scotland to have joined the programme, and thanks the Dalmuir care home for taking part to ensure that residents get the best care and can forge meaningful connections with others to help reduce social isolation.
