Springburn Auditorium Awarded National Lottery Funding

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that Springburn Auditorium has been awarded National Lottery funding; understands that this new funding will allow Springburn Auditorium to host 10 free public events between March and October 2024 in collaboration with local artists, musicians and community organisations; applauds Springburn Auditorium for creating a unique venue space fabricated from upcycled pianos that allows people to participate in cultural activity, such as live music, performance art and cinema, in the heart of Springburn Park; believes that most of Springburn’s cultural spaces have vanished over the years and considers that Springburn Auditorium is making a real difference in the community by providing access to art and culture without the cost barrier, and wishes Springburn Auditorium well with its 2024 events programme.
