Ailsa Craig Gifts Wins Silver Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Ross Wheeler on winning Best Product Award Silver in Home and Gift at Scotland’s Trade Fair Spring and Speciality Food and Drink Show; recognises what it believes to be the hard work and determination shown by Ross, who started his business, Ailsa Craig Gifts, when he built his own garden workshop during lockdown; commends what it considers to be his craftsmanship and ingenuity in bringing eco-friendly, handcrafted, personalised gifts to the tourist markets of Maidens and the surrounding areas, thus putting him on the map both locally and on the internet; applauds Ross for the recent expansion of his business, which is due to see his unique and quirky products stocked at the newly opened Humeston Byre in Maybole very soon, and wishes Ross the very best of luck for the future and continued success for his business, Ailsa Craig Gifts.
