The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the North Lanarkshire Neighbourhood Networks for raising £1,000 for the St Andrew’s Hospice, Airdrie; understands that the North Lanarkshire Neighbourhood Network supports vulnerable adults with learning and physical disabilities and mental health issues to live independently in their own homes, and to contribute to their communities; believes that this kind donation will help the St Andrew’s Hospice to continue providing free specialist palliative care to people living with life-limiting illnesses and provide support to patients, families, and carers, and to connect communities through local networks of mutual support; further believes in the importance of supporting people to live independently, to be active citizens, who participate and contribute to communities, maintaining their dignity and human rights; thanks the staff and volunteers of North Lanarkshire Neighbourhood Network for their kindness and continued support to communities, and wishes the St Andrew’s Hospice all the best for the future.
