20th Motherwell Boys’ Brigade Clyde Climate Forest

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the 20th Motherwell Boys’ Brigade for what it sees as its outstanding efforts to create the Clyde Climate Forest; understands that the Trees for Cities is the only UK Charity working to create happier and healthier places to live by planting thousands of urban trees annually in the UK and around the world; believes that the Clyde Climate Forest will create a legacy that will benefit many generations for years to come by revitalising forgotten spaces, diversifying, enhancing structural and functional diversity in woodlands and city streets, and bringing communities together; further believes that the planting of individual trees, woods and large and small hedges will go some way to addressing concern for the planet and the climate, and will promote wildlife and biodiversity; congratulates Trees for Cities on its 30th anniversary and on planting their two millionth tree, and wishes 20th Motherwell Boys’ Brigade all the best for the future.
