South Scotland MSYPs Elected

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Daniel Upson and Louise Church on being elected as the Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYP) for the Galloway and West Dumfries Scottish Youth Parliament constituency; further congratulates Caitlyn Watson and Skye Allan on being elected as the MSYPs for the Dumfriesshire constituency, and Emily Tweddle and Annan Vause on being elected as the MSYPs for the Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire constituency; understands that the Scottish Youth Parliament, which was created at the same time as the Scottish Parliament, in 1999, provides young people with a voice on issues of importance to them, their peers and their communities; further understands that it also provides a valuable forum where young people can debate, discuss and vote on topical issues; recognises what it sees as the invaluable contribution of the Scottish Youth Parliament, and thanks all the named MSYPs for their efforts and for the work that they will undertake to raise and address issues, and to represent and support their communities.
