Secondary School in North Lanarkshire Commended by Inspectors

That the Parliament congratulates the staff, teachers and pupils of Our Lady's High School, in Cumbernauld, on what it sees as their hard work and commitment that has enabled them to attain high levels in literacy; notes that the inspectors highlighted the school's aspirational and positive climate for learning, praising the headteacher for her strong and effective leadership and the strong support of all the staff; understands that what it considers to be the wide range of curated clubs and activities on offer for pupils is helping to develop their leadership skills and skills for learning, life and work, and welcomes that these approaches by the school, families, and local community are, it believes, accelerating the progress of young people living in the most deprived areas.
