Change Mental Health Marks 30th Anniversary in Lochaber

That the Parliament congratulates Change Mental Health on 30 years of delivering mental health support in Lochaber; believes that the Glencarry Centre was the first mental health facility of its kind in Lochaber when it opened in 1994; understands that the service, now called the Cothrom Centre, which is Gaelic for opportunity and equality, moved to the Nevis Centre in 2017 and continues to support hundreds of people in the Lochaber community; considers that the service has evolved over the last 30 years, but that the foundations of the service remain person-centred and holistic, and believes that it is a vital community resource that people value; notes that Change Mental Health is a national mental health charity that has been supporting people with their mental health for over 51 years across Scotland, and wishes it every success in what it sees as its important mission.
