City of Edinburgh Council Becomes Scotland’s First Local Authority to Enforce Pavement Parking Ban
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the City of Edinburgh Council on becoming Scotland’s first local authority to enforce a ban on pavement parking; understands that, from 29 January 2024, those who park on the city’s pavements will face a fine; believes that this will improve the lives of all road users, in particular those with mobility issues and visual impairments, and hopes that it will be effective in preventing dangerous parking and inspire other local authorities to follow suit.
