Scots Music Producer, Blair Ferguson, Wins First Grammy

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates former Kelvinside Academy pupil, Blair Ferguson, on winning his first Grammy; understands that he produced the track that won Best R&B Song at the Grammy Awards on 4 February 2024; notes that the 20-year-old music producer won the award for his contribution to SZA’s smash hit, Snooze, which features on her SOS album; understands that Blair produced the track from a makeshift studio while staying with his aunt; recognises that, still being relatively unknown in Scotland, Blair has already worked alongside stars such as Justin Bieber and Diddy; understands that he contributed to his first US top 10 album when he was just 16, and further understands that Blair also contributed to albums nominated in the 2024 Grammys, including SOS by SZA and Girls Night Out by Babyface.
