NHS Grampian Blood Borne Viruses Testing Pilot
The motion
That the Parliament notes that NHS Grampian is running a pilot scheme; understands that all patients who have a blood test at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary’s Accident and Emergency Department will be tested for blood borne viruses; believes that this drive will help in the ambition to eliminate Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and end new transmissions of HIV; congratulates NHS Grampian for initiating this three-month pilot, which is being funded by the Scottish Government, and hopes that this pilot will prove to be successful and that this testing regime will be expanded throughout Scotland.
