Commending the Work of Chloe Grossman
The motion
That the Parliament commends the work of Peterhead Academy pupil, Chloe Grossman, for her work highlighting issues impacting on young carers in the Aberdeenshire area; understands that Chloe has been tireless in her work, with a thoughtful and positive campaign to impact change; notes that Chloe is partaking in Peterhead Academy’s School of Citizenship course, which is a partnership with the School of Social Science at the University of Aberdeen; understands that the School of Citizenship is comprised of pupils who are engaged and enthusiastic about social issues; notes that the aim of the School of Citizenship is for pupils to conduct their own research to make small changes in their local community and to compile and present a report with the findings, and commends Peterhead Academy and the University of Aberdeen for this innovative project, which, it believes, embeds equality and social consciousness in young citizens.
