Parksprings Care Home Lifesaving Fundraiser
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Parksprings Care Home, in Motherwell, on its series of fundraising events to raise funds for two defibrillators; understands that staff at the Dalziel unit held their latest charity evening with the help of the Horseshoe Bar; further understands that, every week in Scotland, around 70 people experience cardiac arrest at home, work or in a public place, and that starting CPR as soon as possible will give the person the best chance of survival, but that being able to use a defibrillator within the first few minutes of collapse increases that chance even further; thanks staff and residents at Parksprings Care Home for their fundraising efforts, and wishes them all the best for the future.
