Commending the Work of North Edinburgh Drug and Alcohol Centre
The motion
That the Parliament commends the work of the North Edinburgh Drug and Alcohol Centre (NEDAC) in helping individuals with complex needs related to drugs and alcohol; recognises NEDAC’s efforts to increase social engagement to help individuals who, it understands, are at risk of mental health conditions due to social isolation and loneliness; commends the personalised support given to individuals for whom mainstream services have not worked; believes that NEDAC enables individuals to have improved access to services and resources in the community, and hopes for the continued support to the community to help individuals with complex needs.
