Boogie Box Jive Celebrates £200,000 Charitable Donation Support

The motion

That the Parliament applauds the efforts of volunteers from the Boogie Box Jive group in helping to raise over £200,000 for charitable causes over the last decade; understands that the group has performed free of cost at Mugdock Care Home, Milngavie Christmas lights switch-on, Loch Lomond Shores Cash for Kids Christmas Appeal and Summer Food Festival, Maid of the Loch open day, Vale of Leven Disabled Centre, Strathleven Care Home, stroke units and dementia wards; acknowledges their support in fundraising for the Beatson hospice and many other charitable venues across the west of Scotland with various partners; understands that there are 57 active members who attend various dance classes, one of which is in Dumbarton, and wishes the group every success in supporting charitable organisations to fulfil their fundraising needs.
