The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the £490,000 in regeneration funds that will reportedly be allocated to make improvements to areas of priority in Slamannan, as identified by local residents; notes that, following agreement with Falkirk Council, the areas in Slamannan identified for improvement include the demolition of the derelict Royal Hotel, which with £140,000 of funding will be replaced by an accessible green space for community use; understands that further work has been commissioned, including a £100,000 restoration of the village clock, and general public realm improvements to the main parade through Slamannan totalling £250,000; welcomes what it sees as this substantial regeneration investment into the Slamannan area, and trusts that residents will enjoy the improvements once the projects are complete.
