Women Against State Pension Injustice (WASPI) Campaign
The motion
That the Parliament regrets what it sees as the UK Government’s inaction to end the injustice experienced by women affected by the changes to State Pension laws; welcomes the introduction of the State Pension Age (Compensation) Bill by the Scottish National Party in the UK Parliament under the Ten Minute Rule, which, it understands, would require the UK Government to publish compensation scheme proposals for the women affected by the State Pension age changes; understands that the Scottish Government does not have the power to rectify this situation, and calls, therefore, on the UK Government to act swiftly to provide compensation to these women.
