The motion
That the Parliament congratulates St Ninian’s Primary School in Livingston on being awarded Gold by UNICEF UK’s Rights Respecting School Award (RRSA) programme; understands that this prestigious Gold Award is the highest level award granted to any school and is given in recognition of the 54 articles from the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child; further understands that in the report from UNICEF, the school’s strengths were noted as health and wellbeing, in particular, mental health where the pupil voice was highly valued, and understands that the entire school community was commended for their understanding of how their rights are connected to school life, their Catholic values, and to their local and global community.
