First Recipients of the ABZWorks Development Fund Announced
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the first recipients of the ABZWorks Development Fund, which was announced on 28 February 2024; notes that 10 community-based organisations in Aberdeen City, including Aberdeen Donside-based organisation, Absafe, have received funding totalling £75,000 in the first round of funding through the ABZWorks Development Fund; understands that the funds will help the organisations to develop or further build the capacity of their employability projects; notes that applicants were required to demonstrate how their projects meet local need and reflect local circumstances, how they would support people removed from the labour market and how they would deliver these projects, including early engagement activities; commends what it sees as the incredible work carried out by each organisation, and wishes them all the best with their work going forward.
