Falkirk’s Young Musician of the Year 2024 Announced

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates James Silcock on winning Falkirk’s Young Musician of the Year for 2024; understands that James is a talented young piper and composer, having composed one of the pieces that he performed in the competition; further understands that James was one of eight finalists to perform in the competition, which saw a high standard of performers throughout; welcomes the opportunity afforded to young people by events like Young Musician of the Year to showcase their talents, promote participation in a variety of cultural events, and develop their passion for music; congratulates the Falkirk Instrumental Music Service on the success of the event, and wishes everyone all the best in the future of the programme.
