Arts and Humanities Research Council Creative Communities Policy Lab

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council's Creative Communities Programme Policy Lab on Culture, Health and Wellbeing, which took place at the Scottish Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh on 31 January 2024; understands that the Policy Lab model brings together a diverse group of leaders to co-create new policy solution suggestions on the role of arts and culture in delivering better health and wellbeing outcomes; considers that embedding cross-sector stakeholders and communities in policy making is a strategic priority for creating a more inclusive innovation ecosystem, and hopes that the resulting policy recommendations will enable arts and culture to create a stronger, fairer economy and society through delivering cross-sector healthcare targets.
