Asda Ayr Donates £3,200 to Local Concerns

The motion

That the Parliament recognises what it sees as the generosity of Asda Ayr, which recently donated £3,200 to local community organisations; understands that the money was shared equally between Ayr Boswell FC 2017s and Ayr and Prestwick Men’s Shed; further understands that those awarded by Asda Ayr were nominated by the local community in recognition of what it considers to be the important and deserving role that they play for those living in Ayr; commends the Asda Foundation, which has invested more than £1.5 million in community projects and good causes in Scotland, helping bring much-needed relief and support to children and young people, especially during the cost of living crisis; recognises what it sees as the importance of community champion and store manager engagement, reaching a wide range of local projects and organisations and allowing them to benefit from Asda’s giving back philosophy; commends Asda Ayr for continuing to support all things local and, it believes, improving the wellbeing of the community; congratulates each organisation once again on their award, and wishes them all the very best for the future.
