The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the six volunteer crew members from RNLI Stonehaven, RNLI Montrose and RNLI Arbroath who attended the RNLI 200th Anniversary Service of Remembrance in Westminster Abbey in London; understands that an RNLI representative from every RNLI community was invited to come together for this special ceremony; notes that, since the RNLI founding papers were signed back in 1824, over 144,000 lives have been saved by RNLI crews; recognises that the lifeboat station at Stonehaven reopened in 2014, with the stations at Montrose and Arbroath being two of the oldest lifeboat stations in the UK; further recognises that the RNLI relies on thousands of dedicated volunteers and supporters to run their lifesaving service, and wishes them a safe and successful future.
