Edzell Woods Community Trust Secures Future Funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the committee and trustees of Edzell Woods Community Trust, who, in association with Kincardineshire Development Partnership, have helped to secure funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund; understands that the UK Shared Prosperity Fund forms part of the UK Government’s Levelling Up agenda and will commit over £2.6 billion funding for local investment across Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland by the end of March 2025; notes that the funding will allow Edzell Woods Community Trust to work with an architect to draw up plans for a community hub, as well as engage a large consultation around the water treatment work to investigate the issues with the waste water works and provide a sustainable operating plan; considers that the two funding packages accessed through Aberdeenshire Council are considerable for the future of Edzell Woods, and have been achieved with the help of Kincardineshire Development Partnership, and wishes the committee, trustees and residents of Edzell Woods Community Trust every success for the future.
