Clyde Valley High School's Mighty Striders
The motion
That the Parliament commends Clyde Valley High School, in Wishaw, for participating in the Glasgow Kiltwalk's Mighty Stride on 28 April 2024 to raise funds for St Andrew’s Hospice; understands that 37 staff members, past and present, will begin their Kiltwalk from Glasgow Green, walking 23 miles to Balloch Park and raising funds as they go; further understands that the Kiltwalk is a unique fundraising organisation, which supports many charities across Scotland, becoming one of the best-known and most well-attended events in Scotland; notes that St Andrew's Hospice provides specialist palliative care to people living with life-limiting illnesses, and that its mission, which is to provide support not only for patients, but also for their loved ones and carers, is central to its ethos, and wishes Clyde Valley High School staff all the best for their mighty stride.
