On Pointe Dance Academy Fundraising

The motion

That the Parliament recognises On Pointe Dance Academy for raising £1,415 to assist pupils in attending the UDO World Street Dance Championships in Blackpool; notes that the On Pointe Dance Academy was established in 2013, and welcomes pupils from Newmains and surrounding areas; understands that the academy, led by Megan Hilditch, is based in Newmains and hosts recreational classes and an elite programme specialising in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, street and commercial dance; believes that dance is for everyone, regardless of age or ability; understands that three of the academy’s teams will compete in the championships; recognises pupils and their parents for organising the fundraising event, and wishes On Pointe Dance Academy many successes at the upcoming UDO World Street Dance Championships.
