Congratulating Archie Foundation for Fundraising Efforts
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Archie Foundation on raising more than £1.6 million in 2023 for its work in supporting babies, children and families across the north of Scotland; understands that the foundation, which provides support to the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital, as well as Tayside Children's Hospital in Dundee and the Highland Children's Unit at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, raised a total of £1,667,241 through fundraising events, donations and grants between 1 January and 31 December 2023, representing an increase of 12% on the previous year's total; notes that more than 50,000 children and young people visited one of the three hospitals supported by the foundation, and hopes that the foundation's fundraising efforts in 2024 are similarly successful.
