The motion

That the Parliament wishes the very best of luck to the Scottish-trained Corach Rambler in the Randox Grand National at Aintree on 13 April 2024, in a bid not only to bring the prize back to Scotland for the fourth time, but also to win back-to-back Grand Nationals for the first time for Scotland; understands that horseracing in Scotland is worth over £300 million to the Scottish economy; encourages anyone betting on the race to bet responsibly and wishes them the best of luck with their selections; recognises that British racing now provides a central resource on welfare information, which can be found at horsepwr.co.uk, and believes that this provides transparent information and facts about the sport and thoroughbreds, and what it sees as the high welfare and safety standards within British racing.
