Cove Rangers Community Foundation

That the Parliament congratulates Robert Smith on his appointment as Chairman and Jenny Laing on her appointment as Chief Executive of Cove Rangers Community Foundation, ahead of its formal launch on 24 April 2024; notes that the foundation is an independent charity supported by Cove Rangers Football Club; understands that the aim of the foundation is to motivate individuals living in the south of the city of Aberdeen and Portlethen to live happier, healthier and longer lives by providing targeted support through the power of football, to promote physical activity in children young people and adults; further understands that Cove Rangers Football Club has been an integral part of the community in the south of the city of Aberdeen for over 100 years, and believes that, as the charitable arm of the club, the foundation will continue the work of the club within the community to make a positive impact on people's lives.
