James Paterson’s London Marathon Run and 12-hour Cycle for Children 1st
The motion
That the Parliament recognises James Paterson, from Wishaw, for his fundraising efforts for Children 1st; understands that James undertook a 12-hour long cycle on an exercise bike based in Wishaw Sports Centre, as well as the London Marathon, to raise funds for Children 1st, a charity that offers emotional, practical and financial support to help families to put children first and campaign to uphold the rights of every child; further understands that James and his wife, Kirsty, have a long-standing commitment to supporting Children 1st, and have fundraised for the charity for 15 years, with James’s first completion of the London Marathon in 2009, and recognises that James has raised £2,370 for Children 1st through his fundraising in 2024.
