International Day of Living Together in Peace
The motion
That the Parliament marks the UN established International Day of Living Together inPeace on 16 May 2024, which, it understands, is aimed at promoting peace,tolerance, inclusion, understanding and solidarity alongside upholding thedesire to live and act together, united in differences and diversity, in orderto build a sustainable world of peace, solidarity and harmony; believes that ina world suffering from division, disharmony and devastating humanitariancrises, this day serves as a timely reminder of the need for forgiveness andcompassion among individuals and nations alike in order to achieve the aim thateveryone holds dear, namely that of living together as one in peace andharmony, and hopes that by expressing support for this aim, the shared messagewill encourage others to act with this understanding to achieve real lastingpeace and harmony.
