Congratulating Stenhousemuir Women FC on its League Title Success

That the Parliament congratulates Stenhousemuir Women FC on winning the SWF League One title following its final victory of the season away to Edinburgh Caledonia; understands that the team has had an excellent season, winning 17 out of its 22 league matches, ending with an impressive +56 goal difference that has allowed its supporters to enjoy many comfortable victories; notes what it sees as the pivotal role that the Stenhousemuir women’s team is playing in inspiring younger girls at Stenhousemuir to progress in the sport, and commends those involved for their work as excellent role models; congratulates the Stenhousemuir men’s football team on its historic first league title win in its 140-year existence; considers that the success of both teams in winning their respective league titles and gaining promotion represents a fantastic achievement and is a great source of pride to the local community; understands that Stenhousemuir FC is also celebrated for much more than its on-the-park achievements, and that the recently renamed charity wing of the club, Stenhousemuir FC Community Foundation, is doing fantastic work across a whole range of charitable and community-related activities; commends in particular the recent work of the foundation in running menopause support and education sessions and in facilitating programmes as diverse as parenting multiples groups, sporting memories, mental health support, destination development for young people and the many variations of football participation aimed at all ages and abilities; praises the work and success of Stenhousemuir FC at all levels over an excellent season, and wishes the club all the very best for the future.
