Wishaw Primary School Praised by Inspectors for Closing the Poverty Attainment Gap

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the teachers, staff, pupils and wider school community of St Ignatius Primary School on what it sees as their hard work and dedication, which has enabled them to successfully close the poverty-related attainment gap; notes that the school was praised for its positive culture of care, ambition and "can do" approach, ensuring that no child misses out, highlighting well-planned engaging lessons, clear focus and a culture of mutual respect and trust amongst staff, children and families, and recognises that the school has devised an innovative digital programme to analyse the range of information about the progress of children to help ensure that it effectively meets the specific needs of all children.
