TRNSMT Festival Bans Single-use Vapes

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates DF Concerts and everyone involved with TRNSMT Festival on banning single use vapes; understands that the event, which is due to be hosted between 12 and 14 July 2024 at Glasgow Green, will see single-use vapes listed as a prohibited item; considers that measures like this will protect many people, including school children and young adults, from untold harm, rid streets and parks of the litter being caused by these throwaway products, and send a message to retailers that it is time to bin the vapes for good, and thanks the medical professionals, councils and campaigners all over the country who have been calling for change, which, it believes, will result in banning these disposable vapes for good.
