Chatelherault Primary School Receives Sportscotland Gold School Sport Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Chatelherault Primary School, in Hamilton, on receiving the Gold School Sport Award from sportscotland for 2024-26; notes that this award, funded by the National Lottery, is a national initiative recognising schools exceptional achievements in integrating sport into their planning, practice, and ethos; acknowledges what it sees as Chatelherault Primary School’s commitment to increasing opportunities and engagement in physical education, sport and leadership among young people; commends the school's efforts in building strong sporting links with the local community, and celebrates what it considers to be the positive impact that such recognition has on Chatelherault Primary School students, encouraging lifelong participation in sport and physical activity.
