Clydebank’s Caleb Stirrat Receives Child of Courage Trophy
The motion
That the Parliament recognises and celebrates Caleb Stirrat, from Clydebank, on being awarded the Child of Courage Trophy at the Pride of Scotland Awards; notes that the eight-year-old was diagnosed with atypical teratoid rhabdoid, a form of brain and spine cancer, in 2019 and that, in 2022, alongside his triplet sisters, helped his parents launch the charity, Caleb’s Trio of Hope; understands that the charity aims to create fun memories for children with cancer who have received a palliative care diagnosis; understands that in the last two years they have raised just over £24,000; commends Caleb for his bravery and for this remarkable success, and applauds his family for their strength and determination to help others.
