East Kilbride FC Wins the South Challenge Cup
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates East Kilbride FC on winning the South Challenge Cup for the fourth time in its short history; commends Joao Balde and Keir Samson for their second-half goals, which secured the win; understands that the win comes alongside winning the Scottish Lowland League with 81 points, and that the win offers increased incentive for the club for a promotion push in the next football season; further understands that, on its promotion to League Two, the club intends to start construction of a long-awaited £4.5 million new stadium, which would represent considerable plans in terms of infrastructure and investment for the town; thanks all those who support East Kilbride FC in its endeavours, and wishes the team the best of luck for next season.
