Congratulating Canberra Primary School and Nursery Class, East Kilbride, on Positive Education Scotland Evaluation

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Canberra Primary School and nursery class, on receiving a positive Education Scotland evaluation following a recent inspection; acknowledges that the report identifies many strengths, including Canberra’s high levels of attainment in literacy and numeracy, the headteacher’s inclusive approach to leadership and staff’s commitment to child wellbeing and improved outcomes; commends the school’s performance, across key quality indicators, including, leadership of change, raising attainment and achievement, learning, teaching and assessment, and ensuring wellbeing, equality and inclusion; recognises the hard work and efforts of all the teachers, staff and pupils, and wishes everyone at Canberra Primary School and nursery well for the future.
