Frame Runner Ian Duncan Named Rotary Young Citizen Sporting Hero 2024
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the determination and achievement of Ian Duncan on winning the Rotary GB and Ireland Young Citizen Sporting Hero 2024; notes that the member of Corstorphine Athletic Club was, along with his compatriot, Finlay Menzies, one of the first two members of the frame running group, on account of their cerebral palsy; congratulates all members who took part in a separate study at Queen Margaret University, which sought to understand the impact of frame running on the health and wellbeing of those with walking disabilities, and believes that all who take part in such groups are laying a solid foundation for those who have experienced similar adversity.
