Kilwinning Primary Pupil’s National Competition

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Kilwinning primary pupil, Havannah McNaughton, who will be taking part in the final of a joke telling competition; understands that following her regional success in the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists’ VoiceBox joke competition, Havannah, who is a P1 pupil at St Winnings Primary, was crowned North Ayrshire's winner and will be taking part at the final, which will be held in the Scottish Parliament on 6 June 2024; believes that the competition is not just about making people laugh but about the importance of good speaking skills for success in school and later in life; commends Havannah on her achievements, and wishes her every success in the upcoming finals.
