Cambusnethan Primary School’s Global Goals Week

The motion

That the Parliament recognises pupils from Cambusnethan Primary School, Wishaw, on their participation in Global Goals Week; notes that each class was assigned a particular global goal to learn about by getting involved in a variety of activities aimed at encouraging the pupils to be responsible citizens; understands that pupils learned about subjects including life on land, life below water, no poverty, zero hunger, climate change, clean water and sanitation, clean and affordable energy and sustainable cities and communities; recognises P2 and P7 pupils for participating in a community clean-up, collecting five large bin bags of litter from streets surrounding their school; further recognises the P5 pupils who learned about climate change and organised a peaceful protest within the school grounds; commends P4 pupils who learned about the theme of zero hunger, and thus organised a food collection for Wishaw Community Foodbank where they delivered donations and volunteered to help with organising stock; recognises all the pupils of Cambusnethan Primary School on their activism, and thanks them for the kindness that they have shown to those in their local community, and wishes them all the very best for the future.
