Newmains Citizens of the Year

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Newmains Community Council on being awarded the title of Newmains Citizens of the Year for 2024 at the Newmains Gala Day; understands that Newmains Community Council was awarded the title for its hard work and dedication to the community, which secured the new play park at Newmains and St Brigid’s Community Hub; considers that the Community Council was instrumental in the design, fundraising and consultation of the £175,000 park; welcomes what it sees as the fantastic asset to the community, and wishes all the children safe and fun adventures.
